Birds of a Feather Victoria Oceanfront Bed and Breakfast Inspections and Accreditations

2010 Frommers Guide Victoria, BC

Frommer’s Vancouver & Victoria 2008 recommends Birds of a Feather B&B

Birds of a Feather Bed & Breakfast in Victoria was established in February, 1997. Over the last decade, literally thousands of happy guests have left wonderful stories about their stay here in our guestbook. We often take a moment to reflect on some of these comments, and the delightful guests who have entered our lives by staying in our B&B.

The reputation of our B&B continues to attract more repeat guests and referrals from our guests each year. In 2007 we also came to the attention of Frommer’s and after a visit we were subsequently recommended in their 2008, 2009 and 2010 Vancouver and Victoria travel guide.

Below are a list of some of our accreditations and awards. We hope that you too will plan a stay with us. We promise to make it an experience you will always remember.

Always happy to come "home" to this part of town

We had such a wonderful time in the family room (#3). The room was perfect - comfortable beds, lots of space, cozy bathrobes and the view was delightful, especially when the sheep next door were in full romp. We loved the B&B’s proximity to Fisgard Lighthouse & Hatley Castle & gardens. Dieter’s tips for an all-day outing to Port Renfrew were spot on. Our whale watching expedition lacked only whales, but we had fun anyway and were able to see three species of seals. We were thrilled to see so many flowers in bloom in spite of the somewhat chilly weather, and at least one of us (Laura) was particularly enthralled with the moss and lichens we saw everywhere !! We did enjoy downtown Victoria (especially the Royal BC museum) but we were always happy to come "home" to this part of town where swans are in the lagoon and life is quiet and peaceful. Thank you for a marvellous week and respite from our busy lives.

Feds silent on planes in bird sanctuary

Little preventing aircraft from landing in Esquimalt Lagoon

It wouldn’t have taken an experienced bird watcher to see there were wings of an all together new variety in Esquimalt Lagoon lately.
