Shop the Wild
Come and enjoy delicious wild edibles and learn about the amazing diversity of products that come from the forests of BC. The 2008 Shop the Wild Festival offers the perfect opportunity to learn about the benefits of going green and choosing local - this is a free public event with over 50 exhibitors and vendors, wild food demos, guided nature walks and musical entertainment. FUN for the whole family!
The Victoria Masquerade Ball
An evening of masquerade and dance awaits you...
Join us in support of a most worthwhile cause amidst mystery and intrigue! All you need is an exotic mask with a tuxedo, evening gown or vintage costume.
Special guest speaker Nigel Fisher,
President & CEO, UNICEF Canada
Ballroom opens at 7 pm thru to 12 am
Masks are required, with a limited quantity for sale at the door.
Prizes for Best Male Mask, Best Female Mask and Best Couple.
Pumpkin Art at Ogden Point
Well known locally as the former Pumpkin Art event at Government House, hundreds of intricately carved lit up pumpkins are returning to Victoria this fall as part of a five city tour in support of UNICEF's BC's Unite for Children, Unite Against Aids campaign.
Visit over 35 themed, lit up displays including cartoon characters, former prime ministers, the Royal Family, local personalities and much more. Fun for the whole family.
