In 1952, I visited Anne Hathaway’s cottage in England where I bought an embroidery print of the cottage. Shortly after that I came to Canada and totally forgot about the unfinished embroidery.

On one of my several visits to Victoria I took the tour of the beautiful cottage. It was only then that I remembered the forgotten needlework. I mentioned this to the guide and she
asked, if and when I got it finished, would I send a photo of it.

I don’t know if that particular guide is still there, I have long forgotten her name, but I am enclosing a print of my small effort to replicate Anne Hathaway’s cottage. It has only taken me 53 years to complete it. I’m sure the original cottage and your beautiful replica didn’t take one tenth of that time to complete.
