The Queen of the Night sends Prince Tamino to rescue her daughter Pamina from the tyrant Sarastro. Tamino and his roguish sidekick Papageno face a series of trials as they seek love and wisdom (and, for Papageno, food, comfort, and a girl). Sublime and bewitching, The Magic Flute is an opera to grow up with and to grow old with.
