Fantasticks: In Concert – Victoria Conservatory of Music presents a concert by Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones, with performances by Anne Silsbe, Jesse Cook, Nicolas Orrego and others at Robin and Winifred Wood Recital Hall, 907 Pandora Ave., 7 p.m. Tel. 386-5311.
This colourful, entertaining event includes: more than 150 international and local exhibitors, gardening demonstrations, organic culinary presentations, a speaker series, Kid’s Garden activities, satellite locations (Fairmont Empress Hotel, Mayfair Shopping Centre, Market Square, and S.J. Willis School), competitions, and International Show Gardens. The theme for 2005 is the ’History of Gardens’.
This event is held on an annual basis and is sure to become one of the region’s major tourist attractions and a premier event of its kind on the West Coast
Tickets: are available on-line through Tourism Victoria and are $15 general admission, $12 seniors/students, and no charge for children 12 and under.
