Birds of a Feather Victoria Bed and Breakfast - recommended in Frommer’s 2008 Vancouver & Victoria Travel Guide, and selected by CIBC Adventura Travel Rewards as one of Canada’s top 10 B&B destinations - is a nature lover’s nirvana located on Victoria’s west shore next door to the Hatley Park National Historic Site, with a micro-climate that gives it the warmest winter temperatures anywhere in Canada! The grounds include Japanese, Italian, and Rose gardens. Hatley’s diverse environment includes mature conifer forest, Gary Oak meadows and salt-water wetlands. Tourism BC inspected accommodations, warm hospitality, and unique amenities welcome you to our "Nature’s Doorstep" West Coast destination. Olympic Mountains as seen from our Bed and Breakfast

360 Virtual Tour Panorama View of B&B GroundsVictoria enjoys a moderate year-round climate. Our golf greens are in fact green in the winter and we sail our boats year round. Summer, Winter, Fall or Spring … Victoria is Canada’s playground for all seasons.

Waterfront (with plenty of free parking): Our backyard is a 120 acre lagoon, connected to, but sheltered from, the Pacific Ocean. The lagoon is designated a Migratory Bird Sanctuary and is ideal for safe canoeing, row-boating and kayaking; boats and mountain bikes supplied free of charge. We are surrounded by the Historic Fort Rodd Hill, the 1860 Fisgard Lighthouse and the Hatley Castle & Gardens. All of this is nestled amidst 600 acres of old growth forest and accessible by walking / hiking, canoeing, kayaking or cycling from our doorstep. Free use of our private dock, courtesy boats and mountain bikes are also included. Mile after mile of west coast beaches and hiking trails are set against the back drop of the snow-capped Olympic Mountains which tower over the shipping lanes of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. You will absolutely love our Victoria bed and breakfast, with a gorgeous view of the water.

Our house has been purpose built as a Victoria bed and breakfast in British Columbia to accommodate both honeymooners and families with children. The Family suite is at one end of the building and the Honeymoon suite is at the other far end with lots of space and room #2 (adults only) separating them. We have also gone to exceptional lengths to sound-proof everything.

Stay in our cozy Victoria bed and breakfast and you have the ability to go whale watching in the summer months and bird watching in our mild winter months, which emphasizes the year-round appeal of this destination rich in natural & historic beauty.  We are the envy of the rest of Canada during our annual flower count in February.  We invite you to allow yourself at least 4 days - ideally 5 to 7 - to step into another place and time to re-discover Victoria  through the eyes of the locals - we live here!

Birds of a Feather B&B is in an ocean-front nature setting 15 to 20 minutes by car around the other side of the outer harbour from downtown - in fact we can easily see the buildings from here. Many of our guests choose us expressly for that reason. "We love this little Garden of Eden tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Victoria"  - Lucy, Barbara & Eleanor from Sonoma, California

Some visitors might, however, prefer a downtown Victoria bed and breakfast accommodation, in which case it is our pleasure to highly recommend Ross and Sylvia’s Fairholme Manor downtown Victoria Bed and Breakfast.

Our Victoria bed and breakfast offers gift certificates to give to family and friends. Available throughout the year, we offer our gift certificates in many flavors, to indicate all the major holidays. Let those you love enjoy a fantastic getaway to a beautiful nature scene that is not too far from the city. Victoria bed and breakfast gift certificates are always available. Visit our gift certificate page.

Victoria Bed and Breakfast Attractions - Birds of a Feather

Cycle or hike the Galloping Goose Trail connecting downtown to our greater Victoria regional municipality of Colwood to the west coast beaches of Sooke; a trail entry point is right here. Butchart Gardens are 15 minutes north. An excellent day-trip is a 2 hour drive up the scenic west coast to the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail and tidal pools at Port Renfrew - the road ends there. Explore the world-class Royal BC Museum, enjoy British high-tea and allow your senses to be awed by our Parliament buildings which, in the evening, are outlined by thousands of lights which reflect in the waters of the inner harbor. Just remember that you are never too far from our Victoria bed and breakfast.

Things to look into while staying at a Victoria bed and breakfast are cleanliness - we take pride in having ultra tidy and sanitary suites; hospitable staff - Dieter and Anette have been in the business for many many years now, they know what it takes to serve you well; a good place to relax - ocean view in the front, forest in the back, and historic castles and sights right next door. There’s nothing you won’t enjoy at this Victoria bed and breakfast.
