Amore is naturally in the air in Victoria. And our seaside location is pure romance - complete with swans right at our dock! We’ve compiled a little love list to spur your imagination:

• Take a stroll along the rugged beach front, with waves pounding on the sand;
• Skip a stone on the lagoon;
• Watch the swans, kingfishers, and great blue herons from your private balcony or from your lounge chair on our dock;
• Hike a trail through an old growth forest next door to us;
• Tour Hatley Gardens and Castle - our neighbours;
• Explore Fisgard Lighthouse (oldest lighthouse on Canada’s west coast)  just up the road;
• Paddle a canoe around the lagoon, or over to the beach in front of the castle;
• Ride a bicycle along the Galloping Goose Trail with its pastoral fields and rivers;
• Sit on our lovers’ swing and read a book while listening to the song birds.

The traditional names for wedding anniversaries (ranging from paper and cotton, to gold and diamonds) go back many years in social usage. As these names were applied it was considered proper to present the married pair with gifts made of these products or of something related.
