Vancouver Day Trip to the Gulf and San Juan Islands: Whale Watching, sightseeing, more

We have easily accommodated many of our guests who are staying in Vancouver and have a limited amount of time to go whale watching and/or explore the Gulf and San Juan Islands by water in the comfort of our Zodiac Medline III

• Coming and/or going on a cruise and have just one day to spare?

• Only in Vancouver for a couple of nights and not enough time to stay in Victoria?

Dock to Dock Float Plane and Boat: Vancouver - Salt Spring Island - Victoria - Vancouver

• Fly by float plane 35 minutes from the Vancouver harbour to Ganges on Salt Spring Island by Salt Spring Air
• We will pick you up at the very same docks where you land
• Before setting sail you may first wish to spend a little time on Salt Spring Island known for its local arts, crafts, wineries and open air market
• Cruise south to Saturna Island reefs and see the shipwreck Robertson II Tall ship schooner
• Pass through the narrow channel at Mortimer Spit between North and South Pender Islands
• Continue south through the San Juan Islands - doing a sail past Friday Harbour - and go and see the Orca Killer Whales which are more often than not in the San Juans
• Our boat trip finishes at the inner harbour of Victoria, BC at the docks of either West Coast Air or Harbour Air to catch a return 35 minute float plane flight back to the Vancouver harbour
• You can also do this trip in reverse by flying in to Victoria and out of Salt Spring, or you can fly in to and out of the same location
• Shorter excursions to go directly to see the whales are also available
• A similar experience can be arranged by a round trip float plane flight to Victoria from Seattle with Kenmore Air

The breath taking aerial views of the Gulf and San Juan Islands you’ll see from the float plane will give you a wonderful perspective of the very ocean waters we’ll be cruising through seeing the rugged west coast and it wildflife.
