Matisse - Classical French Cooking
For classic French cuisine served on Villeroy Boch china and excellent service, look no further than this little restaurant where — hallelujah — cellphones are not permitted. Don’t visit here to eat; this is a place to dine. Indulge your inner gourmand with duck confit garnished with lentils and rhubarb compote or the superb rillettes made with pork belly, and follow with filet mignon bordelaise or braised lamb paired with demi glace enriched with fines herbes, red wine and calvados. Finish with tarte tatin or handmade truffles. Prices are reasonable and set menus even more of a bargain with four courses at $49, with pairings from the excellent wine list available for an additional $30.
