The Tapa Bar

tapa_bar.JPG

Tapas are small, flavourful dishes that can be served as an appetizer or together as a meal. What distinguishes tapas from other dishes is more the spirit of the eater, not the food itself. One often lingers, unhurried, over tapas.

Tucked away in a quaint area of "Trounce Alley", this little establishment is a hidden gem that mostly locals frequent. Sitting on the outer deck makes you feel as if you have been transported to a unique little eatery in Europe. Bring friends...because it's wonderful to chat over drinks and everything is Tapas style so each dish can feed up to 4 or 5 people

Peninsula food lovers beat a path to cantina's door

Anyone who has run their own restaurant will tell you the hours are horrendous. You never get a day off and the minute you set money aside, you have to spend it. The day the bar fridge breaks down is the same one that the toilets flood. The pilot light in the oven won't work, all of your deliveries are late and you need to act as if you don't have a care in the world because it's your job to put other people at ease -- even when someone complains about the food after they have eaten every bite of it.
