Nice little treasure tucked just off the main drag

Thank you kindly for a lovely stay. What a nice little treasure tucked just off the main drag. So nice to be away from the hustle and bustle yet just a quick drive in to town. Our time in Victoria was wonderful and full of many things to do.

Day 1: Hatley Castle, followed by tea at the Empress Hotel and then Butchart Gardens in the evening. Great to see the gardens at this time of day ... got there around 6:00 pm, walked the grounds in the day light, waited for it to get dark and re-walked the grounds once all of the lights came on. Our favourite was the sunken garden.

Day 2: drive to Nanaimo. Never actually made it to Nanaimo but had a splendid day stopping along the way. GBS glass blowing, Cowichan Bay Village and had our first experience touring the grounds of a place that makes hard cider.

Day 3: tour City of Victoria. Parliament Buildings a must see. Lunch at Willie's on the Terrace - terrific. Dinner back at "home" on the terrace looking over the lagoon (after a canoe ride)

We had a blast in Victoria and our stay at Birds of a Feather helped to make it a lovely experience.
